Reviews for Kelong Ciuyong Seafood
Review highlights
Based on 491 reviewsKelong Ciuyong Seafood consistently receives praise for its fresh and affordable seafood offerings, with highlight dishes including gong gong and salted egg squid. The restaurant's atmosphere, notably enhanced by scenic sunset views, adds to the overall dining experience. Patrons appreciate the tender, well-prepared seafood, though some find portions of certain items like mantis prawn to be small or less flavorful relative to their price. The sambal dishes are noted for their bold spiciness, appealing to those who enjoy a fiery kick. While the menu features a variety of fresh seafood options, occasional inconsistencies in flavor and portion size have been noted. Reservations are recommended due to the restaurant's popularity and limited seating.
I ordered fried sotong (IDR 100K), black pepper gong gong (IDR 100K), three steamed mantis prawns (IDR 210K, minimum 3 pieces), garlic kailan (IDR 35K), seafood fried rice (IDR 75K), and teh botol (IDR 12K). The total was almost IDR 600K. I wish they gave more kailan, lol. The steamed mantis prawn was my least favorite, it lacked flavor and the meat wasn’t very sweet. The best dish was the black pepper gong gong, a must-try! I think the price is reasonable and not too expensive.
3rd visit here. There were hits and misses for the past few visits. Review is for the latest visit: Good atmosphere, fresh seafood, affordable price. Just thought the mantis prawn felt abit overpriced for its small size. Also, Tang Hoon is actually used for Fried Bee Hoon. Taste for the dishes ordered were not bad. Gong Gong is highly recommended as it tasted really fresh and tender!
Local driver introduced Ciuyong instead of Nirwana Gardens Kelong because Ciuyong is cheaper and tastier! We ordered Salted Egg Squid, Nestum Prawn (frozen) and both tasted good! The sambal kangkong was delicious but it was really spicy with their sambal, but I love it! Can't go wrong with the tofu, it was nice. Didn't order their crab or fish so we can't fully review the restaurant but worth a trip there as it is just 20 mins away from Blue Lake
Hands down, one of the best seafood we ever had! The mussels is real fresh, fish caught fresh in the place. Should visit!
Had an amazing dinner at Kelong Ciuyong Seafood. Arrived early at about 5pm and was offered a seat with an amazing sunset view. Ordered fried rice, salted egg prawns, sambal sotong(squid) and a teppan tofu for dinner. Recommend to reserve a table in advance to avoid disappointment.
Food: super fresh as promised. My husband say is abit oily Price: abit on the pricey side as compared to other seafood places in Bintan Ambience: super clean and nice view of the river. Will feel super relaxed at this place especially on rainy days Location: located near the sand dunes and about 30-40mins ride from the temples; an hour journey from Lagoi Overview: would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are sightseeing at the temples or sand dunes nearby but not if coming down from Lagoi. The people here are super friendly and make you feel at ease
We were there for late lunch. Restaurant was quiet with only 3 other groups. Ordered mantis prawns, lala, honey butter chicken, onion omelette, vegetables and fried rice. Food is tasty but on the oily side. One of the reasonable priced seafood restaurants in Bintan with tasty food.
